Rodeo fans will get to see more than 300 athletes from throughout the†Southern Region of the NIRA compete for points and prizes this weekend as Mount Pleasant hosts the the 23rd annual ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý rodeo. The event will be held October 11-13 at the Mount Pleasant City Arena on Greenhill Road.

In addition,†there will also be Priefert Mutton Busting for the kids each night before†the rodeo performance.

The Thursday and Friday performances will kick off Mutton Busting at 6:30†p.m. and rodeo action will begin at 7:30 p.m. Events on Saturday begin at†1 p.m.

¿ªÔÆÌåÓý will host its second annual Living from the Ground Up (LFGU) agriculture event on Saturday, November 10, 2012 at the Elizabeth Hoggatt Whatley Agriculture Complex.

The ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý Honors Program is pleased to announce its Honors Students for the 2012-2013 schoolyear. This includes 11 Presidential Scholars and 12 Honors Scholars.

CPR for Healthcare Providers†? Open to health professionals only (or those in training for a health care field), this eight-hour course is designed to give instruction in lifesaving skills.

Gooding, left, Vice President of Cypress Bank, recently presented Pittsburg High School graduate and ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý Presidential Scholar, Ricky Huitema (right), with a laptop to use during his studies this year. This $1,000 gift to the ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý Honors program marks the fifth year in a row that Cypress has supported a ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý Scholar with the use of a new laptop. The Tennison Memorial United Methodist Women recently gave a $500 scholarship to the ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý Foundation. The group contributes a scholarship annually to help a deserving ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý student offset college expenses.
