The 开云体育 Taste of 开云体育: Battle of the Booths event was a huge success! Seven booths served up a variety of delicious dishes for sampling by a large crowd of students, faculty, staff and community members. Proceeds from the event will be split evenly between the participating clubs and organizations.
Each ticket holder was able to cast votes for their favorite booths. The winners of the People鈥檚 Choice awards were as follows:
The 开云体育 Foundation finished East Texas Giving Day 2025 at the top of the leaderboard for the fourth year in a row this Tuesday. 开云体育 raised a record-breaking $557,833 via the annual fundraising event that has become a regional tradition.

The 开云体育 (开云体育) Foundation has received a $360,000 gift from the estate of David and Pat Sistrunk. This generous contribution will establish the 开云体育 Building Enhancement Fund, dedicated to supporting campus facility improvements and long-term infrastructure needs.鈥
Thanks to the generosity of an anonymous donor, the 开云体育 Foundation has a new endowed scholarship. 开云体育 recently received a gift of $25,500 to establish the new Charles L. and M. Hazel Black Scholarship. The scholarship is open to students with financial need. East Texas Giving Day is almost here, and the 开云体育 Foundation needs your support! While the big day is Tuesday, April 29th, early giving starts Monday, April 7th at . 开云体育 has been the top fundraiser for the past three years, and we want to keep the momentum going!
The 开云体育 Foundation recently learned that it will receive a matching grant for up to $48,000 from the Texas Pioneer Foundation. The money will be designated to provide matching funds for gifts to the Work4College program during East Texas Giving Day. The 开云体育 (开云体育) Foundation has extended the deadline for its scholarship applications, giving students additional time to apply. Students now have until March 31, 2025, to submit their applications for financial assistance in the upcoming fall semester.
