Frankie Avalon to perform at Whatley Center

Shane Pitts named September Fittest Employee

Progressive Women's Organization gives $1,000 for ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý scholarships

The Progressive Women's Organization of Mount Pleasant recently presented $1,000 to the ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý Foundation to provide two scholarships for students majoring in education. The donation was given in memory of Verner Cornelius, a longtime local educator. Tonya Taylor gives memorial nursing scholarships

Tonya Taylor, Assistant Professor of Nursing at ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý, recently gave $1,200 to the ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý Foundation to provide two scholarships for nursing students. The gift was given in memory of Margie Bragg, an ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý Nursing graduate from Mount Pleasant who worked in the field for many years. Taylor noted that she hopes the scholarships will help carry on the caring spirit Bragg gave every day. Taylor is pictured above with Dr. Jonathan McCullough, ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý Vice President for Advancement.
