Whatley Center to host pianist Thomas Pandolfi

The Whatley Center for the Performing Arts at ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý will host virtuoso pianist Thomas Pandolfi on Tuesday, January 29 at 7:30 p.m.


The concert will feature a mix of classical, jazz, ragtime and Broadway music. Selections will include Ludwig van Beethoven, Franz Liszt, Frederic Chopin, George Gershwin, Edward MacDowell, Scott Joplin, Leroy Anderson, and Andrew Lloyd Webber.


"This will be our second year in a row to host Thomas Pandolfi for a concert at the Whatley Center.

¿ªÔÆÌåÓý Weather Procedure



It is that time of year when the weather can be unpredictable in this area. As we have already seen in December, severe winter weather can sneak up on us. ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý wants to make sure that all students and employees have access to timely, accurate information regarding possible weather-related closures.




In case of bad weather, the decision to close or not will usually be made by 6 a.m. for day classes and by 3 p.m. for evening classes.

The Adult Education Department at ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý will offer free General Education Development (GED) classes and English as a Second Language (ESL) classes at various locations throughout the area. Housing Move-In Dates

Fall 2012 Academic Honors

¿ªÔÆÌåÓý is pleased to recognize students who excelled academically in Fall 2012. To be named to the Academic Honors list, a student must have taken 12 or more hours and earned at least a 3.5 grade point average. To be named to the Special Academic Merit List, a student must have taken between seven and 11 hours and earned a 4.0 grade point average.

Carroll Shelby Foundation gives $25,000 for ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý scholarships

The Carroll Shelby Foundation recently gave $25,000 to the ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý Foundation. These funds will provide scholarships to students enrolled in the ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý Carroll Shelby Automotive Technology Department. Cypress Bank supports The Campaign for the Whatley



Cypress Bank recently presented the ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý Foundation with a check for $2,500. This gift, part of a total pledge of $5,000, was given in support of The Campaign for the Whatley - a community effort to revitalize the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts at ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý.
