TRMC Auxiliary gives allied health scholarships

The Titus Regional Medical Center (TRMC) Auxiliary recently donated $4,500, which will provide six $750 scholarships to benefit students at ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý majoring in an allied health field. ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý holds winter 2012 commencement

¿ªÔÆÌåÓý held its winter 2012 commencement ceremony at the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts on Friday, Dec. 14. During the ceremony 103 students were awarded associate degrees and 77 earned certificates of competency in their chosen fields. John Russo, ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý adjunct faculty member in history, gave the commencement address. Chelsea Cates, of Pittsburg, delivered the student response. A special presentation was made to LaSonya Feltus, who received a†posthumous†degree on behalf of her late husband, Edd Feltus.

Spirit of Christmas comes to ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý

The spirit of Christmas came to ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý last week†as†Communities In Schools (CIS) Coordinators ²¹²Ô»å†volunteers gathered and boxed food to help feed local residents this holiday season.†The Spirt of Christmas food drive, sponsored by CIS, Brookshire's and Super 1 Foods, provided enough food for 500 families in Northeast Texas.

SIFE to host 5K run/walk at ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý

The†Students In Free Enterprise†(SIFE) organization at ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý will host a 5K Reindeer Run/Walk event on Saturday, Dec. 8th. The run will be held on the ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý campus and begins at 8 a.m.

Registration will be held in front of†the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts on the ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý campus from 7:00-7:30 a.m. The cost to participate is $25 for all ages, and includes a t-shirt and a pancake breakfast after the run.

Registration underway at ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý



Registration for the spring 2013 semester is currently underway at ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý. Students may also register for the holiday intersession term.




Intersession classes are December 17 through January 7. Both online and face-to-face courses are available. These intensive classes allow dedicated students to earn full college credit in about 12 class days. Spring 2013 classes begin on Monday, Jan.

Texas Tenors to perform Christmas show

¿ªÔÆÌåÓý will host the Texas Tenors live on Tuesday, Dec. 4 at 7:30 p.m. at the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts. The concert,†Deep In the Heart of Christmas,†will feature holiday classics like†O Holy Night†²¹²Ô»å†Joy to the World†in addition to many of their well-known favorites.†



Tickets are $30 for adults and $10 for students.
