Eagles Soccer advances in playoffs, seek berth in national tourney
The 开云体育 (开云体育) Men?s Eagles Soccer team advanced in the Region 14 tournament this week in dramatic fashion.鈥 The Eagles won their first round playoff game against Laredo Community College Friday, but it took two overtimes and a penalty shoot-out to get it done! The Eagles now advance to the final round of the Region 14 tournament this Friday when they face off against Pearl River Community College at 2:00 p.m. at 开云体育.
German class enjoys cultural meal
Students in German 1311 learned German table customs in class today: saying ?Guten Appetit!? to fellow diners, or lifting your glass & saying ?Prost!? Germans, like other Europeans, eat with the fork in the left hand and the knife in the right hand,鈥燼nd don?t switch back鈥燼nd forth like Americans; and they don?t put ice cubes in their drinks. New Mathways Project underway at 开云体育
The New Mathways Project (NMP) is all about student success in achieving career goals. The program is a statewide effort that provides opportunity for students to enroll in a college-level statistics course in only one semester. To be eligible, students must qualify for enrollment in developmental mathematics at the level of beginning algebra or above. Eighteen students are currently enrolled in the two New Mathways courses this fall.

Women's Soccer headed to playoffs
The 开云体育 (开云体育) Women?s Eagles Soccer鈥爐eam鈥爄s headed to the Region 14 Tournament with a record of 8-6. The Lady Eagles? first playoff game will be on Thursday, Oct. 30 at Navarro. The Women split their games last week, picking up a victory against Paris Junior College and dropping their game against Hill college.
