† † †Rodeo fans will get to see more than 300 athletes from throughout the Southern Region of the National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association (NIRA) compete for points and prizes next weekend as ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý its 25th annual rodeo. The event will be held October 9-11 at the Mount Pleasant City Arena on Greenhill Road.

† † †Rodeo action will begin at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday and Friday and at 2 p.m.

† † †The ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý (¿ªÔÆÌåÓý) Women?s Eagles Soccer team won two of four games this past week. The Eagles defeated Western Texas College and Paris Junior College, but fell to Jacksonville College and third ranked Tyler Junior College.

† † †Melanie Barnes kicked off the game against Paris on Saturday with a goal seven minutes in, assisted by Imelda Pina.

The ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý Foundation recently received a $500 scholarship from the Pleasant Sams, the Mount Pleasant Chapter of the Good Sam Club of America. This year?s gift will benefit a student studying nursing at ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý. The Carroll Shelby Automotive Program at ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý will host the†Three Shelbys and a Corvette Racer Car Show†on Saturday, Oct. 11. The event will kick off at 10 a.m. at the Shelby Automotive Technology building on the main ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý campus.

† † † The 10th Annual Tommy Lee Bike Run was held September 20 during Pittsburg?s Pioneer Days.††The day kicked off with a parade led by dozens and dozens of motorcycles and their riders sporting the infamous black t-shirts†commemorating the 10th anniversary of this charity Bike Run.
