The Continuing Education and Corporate Training department at ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý (¿ªÔÆÌåÓý) recently conducted successful CPR training sessions for local industry partners, including Newly Weds Foods and Scot Industries. Delivered on-site, the training has been well-received, with both companies praising the college’s efforts to prioritize safety and ensure their employees are prepared for emergency situations.

¿ªÔÆÌåÓý will soon be searching for its next president after Dr. Ron Clinton announced his intent to retire at the regular Board of Trustees Meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 24th. Clinton will remain through the end of his current contract on June 30th, 2025. The announcement was made at the conclusion of the meeting.
Phi Theta Kappa and Sigma Kappa Delta are excited to announce "Folk-Tober" - a special series with guest speakers and stories of events related to local folklore. In keeping with PTK's annual theme of "Folklore, Fairytales, and Fables," these events will explore some stories unique to this region of Northeast Texas.

The Director of Plant Services is the administrative official responsible for overseeing all facilities management operations, including maintenance, custodial services, groundskeeping, and safety compliance. This leadership role ensures that campus facilities are safe, functional, and conducive to a positive educational environment. The Director works extensively with all college departments in planning renovations and maintenance

The Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE) approved ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý’s application to establish a police department on its campus on September 12th, 2024. Russell Radke was sworn in as the college’s first Chief of Police that same day.
Every year, the Phi Theta Kappa chapter members on the ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý campus select a topic to explore and ultimately produce a project relevant to our local community. The PTK headquarters suggests the overarching study topic. For 2024-2025, Phi Theta Kappa members worldwide will be exploring "Stories."

The ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý Student Services team is excited to announce the winners of the 2024 EagleGanza Scholarship! One student was randomly drawn from each of the four EagleGanza first-year student experiences held throughout the summer. Winners of the $500 scholarships included (from left): Joshua Staten, Perla Vazquez and Kara Bailey. Josh Quintero (not pictured) also received a scholarship.
