Dwain and Linda Blount sponsor Work4College scholarship

The ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý Foundation recently received a donation from Dwain and Linda Blount of Mount Pleasant. Their gift will be used to sponsor a student in the Work4College Program. ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý mourns the passing of former president Dr. Charles Florio

¿ªÔÆÌåÓý is saddened to share the passing of Dr. Charles Florio, who served as president of the college from 1995 to 2008. Dr. Florio was a dedicated leader whose vision and service helped shape ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý during a period of significant growth and development.

Following his retirement from ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý, Dr. Florio relocated to the Longview area and continued to contribute to higher education through a brief tenure at Tyler Junior College before retiring fully. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sue Lynn.

Foundation receives $25,000 donation from Hampton estate

The ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý Foundation recently received a check for $25,000 from the estate of Helen Hampton. The funds are being used to establish the Charlie and Helen Hampton Memorial Endowed Scholarship, which will be awarded to graduates of Paul Pewitt High School. Korey B. Harrison Memorial Culinary Arts Scholarship established

The ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý Foundation recently received a $10,000 donation from Franklin M. and Linda. S. Harrison, of Pittsburg. The funds are being used to establish the Korey B. Harrison Memorial Scholarship in memory of their late grandson. Korey was formally trained in culinary arts and enjoyed a career working in restaurants around the country. In keeping with his passion, the scholarship will benefit students enrolled in the Culinary Arts program at ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý.

Nursing wins 2025 "Taste of ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý: Battle of the Booths" event

The ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý Taste of ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý: Battle of the Booths event was a huge success! Seven booths served up a variety of delicious dishes for sampling by a large crowd of students, faculty, staff and community members. Proceeds from the event will be split evenly between the participating clubs and organizations.
