Ks 4 Kids Day at ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý Friday, April 6

The ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý Eagles baseball and softball teams will host a special Ks 4 Kids Day at the Ballpark on Fri., April 6. The evening will feature free baseball and softball minicamps for kids of all ages. The ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý Eagles baseball team starts the second game of their doubleheader against Bossier Parrish at 5 p.m. The softball camp gets underway at 5:30 p.m.

Two ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý students receive national scholarship honors

Two ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý Presidential Scholars were recently awarded national scholarships through the Phi Theta Kappa Honors Society. Jessica Rogers and Isaac Griffin were named 2012 Coca-Cola Gold Scholars and will each receive a $1,500 scholarship.

Shelby Automotive department to host car and bike show



The ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý Carroll Shelby Automotive Club will host a Car and Bike Show on Satuday, April 21 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. All makes and models are welcome and People's Choice awards will be given.




Registration is $20 per vehicle. People's Choice classes include: Shelby, Modern, Classic, Truck, Bike, and Miscellaneous (ATVs, etc.). Winners will receive plaques. †A Best of Show award will also be given. The event is free for the general public.

Soccer tryouts rescheduled for April 14

The ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý Eagles soccer program will hold tryouts for both the men?s and women?s teams on Saturday, April 14. Women?s tryouts are at 11 a.m. and the men?s tryout is at 1 p.m. on the ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý soccer field. Campus tours will follow. ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý men?s rodeo team won third overall at the Texas A&M Kingsville Rodeo two weeks ago, adding another 150 points to their region standings. Those extra points helped the Eagles? ride up to the top when it comes to making the finals.

Dustin Jackson lit up the scoreboard taking home third place in the all-around men?s division.

The Eagles currently stand 17-8 on the season and 11-5 in conference play after sweeping Central Lakes College and Texarkana College and splitting a double header with Bossier Parish last week.
