The Titus County Literacy Advisory Council recently honored 11 deserving†General Equivalency Diploma (GED) students from Northeast Texas Community†College by inducting them into the National Adult Education Honor Society†(NAEHS).

¿ªÔÆÌåÓý has been awarded a loss prevention grant of $4,000 from the Texas Association of School Boards (TASB) Risk Management Fund. Grant monies help implement loss prevention and safety initiatives to raise awareness of safety issues and reduce potential for property losses and on-the-job injuries.

¿ªÔÆÌåÓý will host the NJCAA Region XIV Baseball Tournament May 12-16 at Eagle Field. The top eight teams from Region XIV will compete for the chance to play in the JUCO World Series in Grand Junction Colorado later this summer.

The ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý Eagles enter the tournament as the top seed in the Eastern Zone of the region with a 26-10 record. The Navarro College Bulldogs earned the second spot in the zone with a 24-12 record.
