Chuck Barkow recently gave $1,000 to sponsor two chairs in the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts at ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý. The seats are dedicated in memory of Jill Barkow and Holly Hardman. The Titus Regional Medical Center (TRMC) Auxiliary recently presented the ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý Foundation with $4,500, which will provide six $750 scholarships to benefit students at ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý majoring in a health sciences field. The Rotary Club of Mount Pleasant recently presented a check for $2,536 to the ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý Foundation to support the upcoming iCan Kids Discovery College that will be held this summer. The iCan Kids Discovery College offers children ages 8-16 a chance to participate in a variety of fun learning experiences.

The ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý Foundation recently received a $500 gift from J.T. and Kaye Brison to support the Brison-Crosby Education Scholarship. The scholarship fund is in memory of Kaye?s grandmother, Hettie Agnes Crosby, and will be awarded to an education major attending ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý. Texas Heritage National Bank recently presented the ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý Foundation with $4,000 to sponsor a Presidential Scholar in Honors Northeast. The ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý honors program was founded in 2007 and has attracted top high school graduates from around the region. ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý Foundation participated in East Texas Giving Day Tuesday to raise money for emergency scholarships to provide much-needed assistance to students in distress.† ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý employees, foundation board members and community friends gave generously during the event, with gifts totaling $7,115.

The Woodmen of the World organization recently presented a check for $25,000 to the ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý Foundation.† These funds will be used to establish The Beau Brummell Woodmen of the World Endowed Scholarship, which will provide an annual scholarship for a local student attending ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý each year. The Beau Brummell Woodmen of the World Scholarship is in memory of Brummell, a very dedicated and longtime member of the Camp County Chapter of Woodmen of the World. Dr.

Doctors Jim and Paula Archer (center) recently gave $3,000 to sponsor the upcoming performance of Greater Tuna at the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts on the campus of ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý. The Pineywoods Iris Society recently held a meeting at the Elizabeth Hoggatt Whatley Agriculture Center at ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý. The group presented a check for $500 to the ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý Foundation in order to provide a scholarship for an ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý agriculture student.
