? Work continues in the area behind BT and near the welding/auto body shop.



? The water leak last week slowed down progress slightly, but the project remains ahead of schedule.

? We do not anticipate any major changes to the construction pattern over the next week.

? Building construction will kick off in early June

? Those who work in Humanities should start working with supervisors to plan the move from that building.

The ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý Foundation is participating in East Texas Giving Day Tuesday, May 3.

East Texas Giving Day is a 24-hour day of giving that provides critical funding for our area nonprofits. East Texas Communities Foundation is partnering with area nonprofits to give thousands of donors from every community in East Texas a chance to raise funds for local needs.

Registration is underway for May Intersession, Summer and Fall 2016. As you register, don't forget that we offer a wide variety of course offerings to help you†fit the classes you need into your busy life. These include evening, online, hybrid, afternoon, and fast track courses. Beginning this Fall, ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý is also expanding the number of eight-week courses offered.

Offered online, these classes cover the same amount of material as a traditional semester in only eight weeks.

Hoppock directs finale productions of The Odd Couple

¿ªÔÆÌåÓý Theatre Professor Douglas Hoppock will direct his final production on the on-stage theatre in the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts later this month. For his grand finale before heading off to retirement, he will lead Theatre Northeast as they perform both male and female versions of Neil Simon?s†The Odd Couple.

The Odd Couple†will be performed on April 28 and 30 at 7:30 p.m.

Third annual Engineering Roundtable event a success

The 3rd Annual Engineering Roundtable at ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý was held on Friday, April 1, 2016 in the Student Union Building on campus. Since 2014, this event has become an annual opportunity for both students who are currently enrolled in the ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý engineering program and students from area high schools who are interested in the field of engineering. Glen Calvert, P.E., General Manager of Priefert Complex Designs, gave the keynote address.

Honors Northeast brings home two poster awards from conference

Honors Northeast, the honors program of ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý, recently continued its tradition of success among its peers in the Great Plains Honors Council with the poster awards of William Jones and Gabriela Quezada.†Jones won the behavioral science division of those with fewer than 60 hours of college completed, while the ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý sophomore, Gabriela Quezada, won in the professional division for those with more than 60 hours.††¿ªÔÆÌåÓý won two of the six poster awards given at the meeting.†††Jones and Quezada both were awarded $50 prizes.
